ViaBTC, the third-largest Bitcoin mining pool, today announced the successful completion of its SOC 2 Type II audit, conducted in alignment with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Trust Services Criteria. This evaluation confirms the ongoing effectiveness of ViaBTC’s internal controls, reinforcing its commitment to top-tier security, reliability, and trust for miners worldwide.
Building on the foundation of its SOC 2 Type I certification earned in April 2025, the Type II audit provides a deeper validation by examining the platform’s controls in a live production environment over an extended period. The Type II evaluates sustained operational performance across key principles: Security, Availability, and Confidentiality. The results underscore ViaBTC’s security framework, ensuring consistent, high-level protection and operational excellence in the dynamic world of cryptocurrency mining.
“Security is a continuous commitment woven into every aspect of our operations,” said Haipo Yang, Founder and CEO of ViaBTC. “Earning SOC 2 Type II certification demonstrates that our safeguards stand firm against a wide range of threats.”
This milestone advances ViaBTC’s comprehensive security and compliance strategy, aligning its practices with internationally recognized standards. Moving forward, the company plans to enhance its governance frameworks, foster partnerships with leading auditors, and integrate evolving compliance measures into its innovations.
