In a rather “expected” twist, Cardano (ADA) is now close to dropping out of the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market cap. This would be the first time since 2024, back when the price slipped under 0.30 dollars.

It is not surprising because this fall has been building up for a long time. There is a lot of uncertainty around the blockchain adoption, and the new chain launched by the Cardano founder, which has people questioning his commitment to the main chain.

To make things worse, after an issue showed up in the Preview environment yesterday, Cardano is now dealing with a technical problem on Mainnet. It is fixable, but it slowed block production and adds even more pressure to an already shaky situation.

Cardano Price Prediction: If Not Now Then When? ADA Technical Picture

Cardano chart shows the bearish momentum is pretty clear. ADA has been trapped in a consistent downtrend since early November, riding that descending trendline all the way down from around $0.62 to the current price of $0.3983.

There was a brief moment of hope around November 20th when price tried to break above the trendline with a “bearish continuation” pattern forming, but that attempt got rejected and ADA plunged even lower.

The RSI is sitting at a weak 25.90, showing the selling pressure is still dominant. Right now, the chart suggests ADA is heading toward that support level at $0.35. If that support breaks, things could get uglier.

The technical picture basically backs up the fundamental mess Cardano’s dealing with; it’s all red flags at the moment, and traders seem to be in full exit mode.
